I don’t know how anyone can give this film 5 stars. It’s a very tropey box checker Batman film. Nothing new here to see. Very disappointed in the middle third of The Batman. The dialogue is absolutely painful to sit through. Catgirl storyline is so poorly written that I was cringing every time she was on screen. Her interactions with The Batman are just awful. I did love the car chase scenes. The latest Batmobile was totally cool. Robert does a great job as The Batman. Unfortunately the writers are asleep at the wheel.

This series is just a mess. The first half of season one is actually pretty good. But the reveal regarding Al Pacino’s character is so preposterous at the end of season one that it took me out of the moment like a lightning bolt. From this point on there is an avalanche of absurdity that smothers the second season. This series is megatropy. It’s worth a watch if you don’t have anything else but O Boy………wow! Don’t expect much.
