This movie is dumb, tongue-in-cheek, and a lot of fun to watch. There are a lot of silly moments in this film. Sometimes, decisions the characters make don't make sense. Sometimes, stuff happens out of plot convenience. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this movie. As long as you don't go into it expecting a masterpiece, this is the kind of film you should kick back and watch with some friends. *Just now noticing the shockingly low reviews, which I don't understand at ALL. This was a very fun film, and you should definitely check it out.

I'm going against the tide - I did not like this movie. Covering a serious topic does not automatically make a movie good. Crying does not make a scene dramatic. If anything, this movie was frustrating for all the wrong reasons. Coming from a person who was bullied and who loves anime, I have to say that this movie is beautifully animated, but in regards to being a story about bullying, recompense, forgiveness and romance, it falls terribly short of satisfying.
