Came from the series One Day on Netflix and gave it one stars because I just know it has so much potential, 20 years of content to squeeze into two hours of film.
It was an unfortunate attempt at execution. The casting was horrid with Hatheway's very uncomfortable, forceful British accent and Sturgess's inability to portray Dexter's shifts of personalities (emotional growth). There is no consistency in why the characters acted the way they did, if only had I not seen the series I wouldn't have known why Sylvie cheated as she seemed quite happy with Dexter whatsoever.
Stories were mushy, 1992 for example got 2 minutes of screen time, might as well have taken it out.
Recommend the series and the book way more than this.
