I was reared during the 1940’s and 50’s in rural southeastern Ohio. Some families I knew were similar to Vance’s family; however, most families were hardworking and law abiding. Many children married school classmates and didn’t move away. Those that went to college aren’t less or more happy with their lives than those that married young and stayed home. Dr. Robert S.
