Confession - I only made it 60% through this book. I was ploughing on (and don't mind a long book) but it was interminable and and often lacking in any kind of story or connection. You shouldn't be able to skip whole sections / chapters and not miss anything. Some of the more obscene language / context was really not needed, did not add to the story and made me feel uncomfortable and like the author had added it to shock. I never leave a book unfinished but this one is going in the bin.
