I feel like this show was okay. I feel like show gets too much hate. The internet is sometimes harsh and I think we can all agree on that. I’d rate this show a 6.5/10. I’ll talk about the good and bad of the show. Before I get into the review I want to say this all my opinion and if you like something that I don’t like, then that’s ok. If you don’t like something that I like, then that’s ok. PROS: Let me just start by saying that the bacta tank flashbacks are cool to watch. I’m pretty sure a bunch of people don’t like them and call them a waste of time. If the bacta tank flashbacks we’re left out of the show, everyone is gonna be like, “How did Boba get his ship, how did he get of the Sarlac and so on and so forth”. These flashbacks are important because they show what happened to Boba after he escaped the Sarlac. They also show who the main threat of the show is. My favorite flashback would be with the Tuskens. It shows how you can establish creatures that people see as killers and turn them into a cultural tribe. Episode 2 shows that perfectly. Half of the action is awesome like the train scene with the Pykes and the season finale. I get why some people wouldn’t like the action in the season finale but this is an opinionated review. I’ll talk about the other half in the Cons. Some characters in the show are cool. We all love Cad Bane, Mando, Cobb Vanth, and even Boba despite his character flaws. Peli and the Major Domo feel like they could date. My favorite episodes are 2, 5 and 6. Boba and Fennec have some awesome moments too. I forgot the Rancor existed when I saw the season finale and I’m happy they found a use for him. CONS: Man, there is a chunk of issues with this not gonna lie. Let me just start by saying Fennec had no character development in this show. When I saw this show, I was hoping Fennec would get some development in this show. All she did in the show was explaining stuff we already knew about. She is good action wise but is not when doesn’t have action to do. Even episode 4 when she was found by Boba in the bacta tank flashback, she NO development all she did was just be Boba’s sidekick. Speaking of Boba and you all saw this coming, Boba has some problems with they way he’s written. First off, and know it is supposed be the point of the show, but I think he shouldn’t have gotten completely “soft” in the show. He was awesome in the Mandalorian. But he feels weak here and not just character wise, but action wise, too. Characters keep telling him he’s soft and old. Cad Bane is old and he’s not soft. He’s wants to rule with respect, but I feel like that’s not in his character. I feel like another reason for this is his lack of screen time in EPS 5 and 6. This is his own show and didn’t appear in ep 5! I really don’t care about the Mod gang. They felt uninteresting. Their group also doesn’t feel very Star Warsy if I would say. They look too unique for Star Wars. Half of the action sucks like the speeder bike chase scene. Can we all agree that Speeder chase was the worst car chase in history. The speeder chase scene in Attack of the Clones was better than this. The action with the assassins was also week. Too boring. I feel like the Mandalorian story had too much in it. The people who watched Mandalorian but didn’t see this are gonna wonder why Grogu is with Mando in s3 e1 when he left in the season 2 finale. They should’ve left out grogu in the season finale in this show. That’s all the things I have to say. In summary this show is fine and I feel like it gets to much hate. 6.5 out of 10.
