this film is suitable for horror film fanatics, such as myself and film directors in the future like me. it is, however, very very intense and is much more scary than the exorcist (my fave). what makes it scary is the verisimilitude of it (a term we use for realism in the film world). not only is it eerie, but the evil is the house, rather than your typical slasher killer, therefore, it exploits deeply on fears of society by using realistic mise-en-scene (what is in the scene) as evil. the contrast between good vs evil is also evident, making it very complex and climatic. overall, a daunting, and quite traumatising, but brilliant film. credits to peter matek.
