HUGE FAN. I’ve never finished the original One Piece manga, I don’t have the attention span to be honest but it holds a very special place in my heart. It’s one of the first anime’s I really connected with, enough so I named my cat after Luffy. This adaptation does not disappoint… Cinematography, casting, visual effects and pacing are all perfect. Iñaki Godoy did an incredible job bringing Luffy’s character to life. They’ve altered and condensed the original down a lot, while maintaining the characters lore and main story. I am so, so, so, SOOOOO grateful that so much effort has been put into this adaptation it has paid off. Especially considering the many disappointing, westernised live-action anime’s that we shall not name…

One of the best MCU movies, in my opinion. It has an equal balance of seriousness, humor, 90s pop culture, badass scenes and representation. It may be a fairly simple superhero movie but it's certainly worth the watch. It keeps you on your feet with fight scenes, twists, character development and iconic Marvel humor (as well as Stan Lee's appearance of course). I highly recommend the movie for any superhero fans/MCU fans, action movie fans, sci-fi fans and just anyone who enjoys a funny, and entertaining movie.

My favourite war movie of all time. The almost continuous shot throughout the whole film brings the story to life and holds tension. The acting, set design and overall production quality is through the roof. Would recommend to those interested in war, historical film and even others not interested in such topics.

This movie was just lovely. I was going to read the manga but I had a heap of books to read so I just watched the movie. I loved it! Very sweet!

One of the most beautiful anime movies I’ve ever watched. Simple but well developed plot line. Definitely one of my favourites now.
