This is the type of film that leaves you applauding at the end, whether you're in a theater or in the privacy of your own living room. The characters are charming and full of surprises, as is the constantly unfolding plot. The filmmaking is masterful; if you love creative cinema, this is a true gem. At times sexy, at times romantic, at times quirky and funny, it's engaging throughout. It moves a bit slowly, in a beautiful way, but if you're bothered by that, give it time. You'll be thoroughly absorbed as the plot unfolds. On a 1 to 10 scale, I'd really have to give this an 11. Tomorrow, I'll be Googling what other movies, if any, have been created by this writer and/or director.
