Hmm where to begin. The show is a Question of Sport. So you would expect a quiz show and sporting questions as has been the case for about 50 years. Nope not even close.
Hoping around a giant map on the floor and being "right" for thinking London rather than Northampton. I'm pretty sure that's not how a quiz works.
The random section with the captains jumping on trampolines was simply cringeworthy and embarrassing.
As for 'the chat show round'... ask one team a question and then ignore them while Paddy Mcguinnes has a little chat. Who ever came up with that one needs to give their head a wobble.
So the content was poor at best. As for the host and captains.
Paddy - apparently this guys is a comedian. Not on that performance. He's meant to be hosting a quiz show not the "watch me not be funny show." How he got the role ahead of every sports presenter, pundit or just general retired sports person I have no idea.
Sam - yeah OK has a decent sporting knowledge and tried to throw some banter ish punches but far too much cheesy stuff.
Ugo - seemed to be the only one trying to be competitive and tackle it as a bit of a challenge. Probably needs to broaden the sporting knowledge but there's time to do the revision.
The guests - to be honest I felt sorry for them. They spent more time being ripped into by Paddy than they did answering questions.
I suspect at 32 I'm at the 'younger' end of the current viewing spectrum but did it appeal to me. Not one bit!! Will it appeal to people younger than me? I very much doubt it.
There's a saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". It wasn't broke but my goodness it is now. If you wanted to drop the show BBC then you should have just done that. QoS deserves better. Hang your heads in shame.
