I could tell this album had a renewed energy about it from the first few singles released. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release and it doesn’t disappoint. Absolute favourite being I hate myself. But Mortal Dread a close second. RNRPC is really growing on me. Yep I did. Don’t need sunshine was a surprise, genuinely love it. My four year old loves Hot on my Tail the most, because of the connotations. In fact he listens to the whole album on loop. I’m much older. Permission cannot be beaten, but I’m really pleased they’ve embraced the more mainstream sound from the first two albums. They wear their influences on their sleeve, homage not plagiarism. I’m writing this in the bath, so a stream of consciousness more than a well thought out review. Buy it, support them, it’s a cracking album.
