This book was rather disappointing. Preston's writing is heavily sensationalized, not to mention somewhat gory. It's even sprinkled with a healthy amount of foul language. I read this for a ninth-grade Biology class, and here's the conclusion I came to: not very kid-friendly. While certainly thought-provoking, in my case this book is simply too disturbing to provoke the right kind of thought.
