Simple yet effective direction for an intense story And Vijay Sethupathi brought the vision to life as usual I am still in awe of the ending- absolutely wild

I have never written a review about a k-drama but this was such a beautifully executed series filled with messages of love, loyalty, integrity, humbleness, innocence, self-fulfilment, and tradition. In addition, there was a fair amount of deception and evil which was well balanced and portrayed. The younger actors did an impressive job by really embracing their characters' personalities on screen and juggling so many different relationships within a large main cast. Beautifully shot, beautifully led by the Queen who portrays both a mother and Queen perfectly, and the wardrobe has so much attention to detail which embodies the elegance of the show. I highly recommend the watch! Also, you get 16 lengthy episodes and I'm glad it was a limited series. Short but sweet.

Such a beautiful series. An emotion-filled drama filled with hauntingly gorgeous music, tear-filled moments, great visuals of culture, good twists, and a great storyline. I loved watching it and haven't binged a series with so much interest in such a long time. Would highly recommend it to anyone. If I were to honestly critique, I think some plot lines were left hanging which could have evolved, but the story keeps going so it is not a big deal. Again, the music was just gorgeous when it filled the scenes.

I have watched this show for years and I am beyond ecstatic that Amazon Prime Video is streaming it. A phenomenal show with the most consistent and wonderful acting from Tony Shalhoub, truly a genius- chef's kiss- he never misses the mark. Seeing the evolution of the cast has been heartwarming, evident from the great chemistry they have on the show- collaborating behind the scenes truly was a catalyst for this and it shows. Traylor Howard also deserves a shout out for her acting and her character had 'given [them] a lot of different colours' as Tony Shalhoub stated (Paley Centre Interview 2008). Overall, a delightful, heartwarming, phenomenal class of a show- oh and did I mention that Snoop Dogg is a big fan and starred in an episode- quite the spectacular duo! A must-watch!

A movie directed by green tones and melody.

A mediocre watch. It covered the extremely important issue of the unsafe working environments of sex-workers and dismissal of missing sex-workers- but it was done plainly. There was not enough vigour or passion that needed to be inputted to the movie to show the fears and reality of these heartbreaking cases. The importance of police negligence was, however, covered.
