About 25 hours in. Wasnt expecting much from a pokemon game after scarlet and Violet. I knew going in this would be a budget pokemon game and having a 70$ price tag is absurd. But actually playing the game? Fantastic. I dont too much care about exploration usually so the small map was not much of a problem for me. If you love the exploration part of pokemon then i wouldnt spend full price on this. The battle mechanics are similar to how Xenoblade works and i love it. Locking some mega stones behind a paywall is stupid, but i actually enjoyed playing online battles for the first time due to the new 4 player format. Most bad reveiws you see will be from hate culture on nintendo. I get it quality has gone down a lot in the past years save for the insanly good Legends Arceus. But this game was fresh and i actually like story and gameplay once you get through the 2 hour slog of a tutorial. I like the designs of all the new megas (Mega starmie is hilarious idc if its lazy) but completing the pokedex was a bit too easy since you know where everything spawns and how to get it. Overall this game is about a 7/10 for me. Way better than S/V but worse than Sw/Sh. Should it cost 70$? Absolutely not. But if you can buy this game for 50$ or less than you should.
