It was ok….it was very repetitive & unnecessarily long …the plot was excellent hence 3 stars but the constant lily crying, prostitutes being murdered, etc could have cut out about a hundred pages and made it more gripping. She literally gets taken within the first few pages and here we are chapter 26 and 259 pages deep of the same stuff in Summer’s chapters apart from the occasional flashback. At first, the chapters from Lewis & Clover were a welcome break of the monotony but even those became repetitive with Lewis’s feeling like a failure from not finding via esp 🙄 and Clover’s classic Psycho-inspired motivation being his obsession with pleasing his dead mother. Very predictable. I just wanted it to be over and not in a good way. Considered just skipping ahead because due the predictablilty of the book I knew I would f miss any super important details which I was not wrong about but I read it all anyways only to remain bored yet eye rolling to the max at the amount of editorial mistakes & an amateur writing style. Not impressed with my first book from this author. Even read an included chapter at the end of this book of AWAKE, another book of hers, only to remain unimpressed by the confirmation of the sameness of amateur writing 😔🤷🏼♀️
