Okay so full disclosure, I have been a JLO fan since Selena when I first happened upon her as a young child. I have seen her do sooo many romantic comedies but my favorite movies of hers were more dramatic roles (ie. El Cantante, Enough, Hustlers) just to name a few.
When I saw the trailer for this project I wasn’t all that excited because here she was doing another romantic themed movie. What I didn’t expect was for this movie to be so deep and relatable. I laughed and cried watching this movie. The choreography, the CGI, the cinematography was pure genius and the overall quality of the film and acting was spot on.
I gave this movie a four out of five stars because I wish there was some more storyline to it. It was too short. I wanted more and that should tell you a lot. I can’t get enough of this movie. I wanted to see more movie less singing but I also know this project was among other things to promote her new album (which I will be buying). Overall, this was a good movie and anyone who’s been through the trials and tribulations of finding love will find this very relatable.
To JLo, I’m sorry I doubted you for that brief moment. You killed it girl. Love you.
