I am concerned that this movie has anti Semitic overtones. It concerns a family of mostly physically unattractive people living in a very expensive Manhattan apartment. They are obnoxious. Their commitment to Judaism is a constant theme, but so is their lack of respect for others. The story involves a young family member, who commits an act that is possibly criminal and results in great harm. While the family purports to celebrate Sabbath, they plot on how to cover up the incident, which they do successfully, and later laugh about the whole thing. In essence, Jews are presented as ugly, rich and materialistic, immoral and devious. The movie is presented as a comedy, but is not funny.
