I love when a film goes as far as it could possibly go and just keeps going. The final scene…. ART! Grotesque, hilarious, stunningly juxtaposed. Margaret and Demi were fabulous in this absolutely incredible film.

This movie is a great commentary on the hidden realities behind a false apology and how rich men can get away with some really nasty stuff behind the curtains. Lavish dinners and “intentional drugs” leads to brainwashing, mind control, and murder. It was really creative and I enjoyed watching! If you want to see women who’ve been controlled and taken advantage of kick ass and take names, then go see this film! Also note that the one star reviews are all from men. So yeah.

I was really enjoying the animation quality and the general vibe of the film, then the dragon came into the story and absolutely ruined any enjoyment for me and my husband. Not a fan of the voice acting and mannerisms. It was really cheesy where I wanted it to be more elegant and mystical I suppose. The character was very jarring annoying, and a character that I assume was meant to be comedic like Mushu just didn't jive for us. The message of the movie and imagery is absolutely beautiful, but some of the characters were annoying and made this really hard to watch. It felt like someone threw a c grade comedian into House of Flying Daggers.
