Think about a Marvel or DC spinoff movie. The pandering, the forced messaging, the focus on everything except the actual plot. Gen V is just a good spinoff, it builds upon the semi-dystopian world of the Boys and doesn't attempt to cannibalize the original. The plot's interesting so far and the way characters react to shocking events feels a tad more realistic than we're used to these days. Seems people are annoyed that it's not the Boys, I think it's unfair to bring this show down just because it's not the original. Of course it's not, it's a spinoff, and a good one at that.
