I actually really loved the messaging in this story. I like the exploration of grief and love and acceptance of loss. I loved that showed people with dimensions and not just a goofy or Prince Charming sort of male love, it’s someone awkward and possibly autistic dealing with grief. But that’s not a bad thing to show in movies, because it’s real. That’s the one thing that really stood out, it was a relationship that felt real. Neither were perfect by a long shot. Neither thought the other was perfect. People are awkward. Life is awkward. But they fall in love anyways. We’ve just got to find people we click with. It was just a wonderful reminder that love isn’t a happy ever after for most people, but that doesn’t make it any less important. Life is fleeting, love freely and be present. There will always be work and there will always be school, but these people you’re with won’t always be there. So make time. This movie is always what I come back to to remember to make time. To show up. Because it’s all insignificant…but it’s still important that you do it
