Like others here who reviewed the film positively, I’d like to start by asking prospective viewers to bear in mind that this movie is art-house cinema. If you go in expecting Hollywood sword & sorcery, you will be disappointed. I’m no aficionado of arty films, and despite the expected butchery by the government censors here in Qatar, I was mesmerized from start to finish. Dev Patel is fantastic in this and I will look forward to seeing a more authentic cut in a few months.
