The shows honestly bad ass and the view point switch up and story line retelling is amazing.
As a long time scooby-doo appreciator I get thatโs itโs hard for some people(incel men) to accept this redirection and complete change of the story but why does it HAVE to be the same story people. Itโs nice to hold onto nostalgia of what you know and remember growing up with but it gets old seeing the blatant sexism that gets refreshed on the newer scooby-doo stories and itโs quite sad that it hasnโt changed or modernized once. Itโs very obvious the people that donโt like this show are mostly men with the shattered childhood image of their favorite group of misfits not fitting the groomed male vision of interactions. The show isnโt about the guys or a dog and I think thatโs what bothers the 1-Star reviewers(incel men).
It explores the modern day confidence of women, especially women that happen to not be into the guys solely in their group nor do they need them to come to their rescue. And of course the show isnโt about a dog, shocker, with a show name like Velma, idk why it would be am I right?
Either way, itโs worth watching at least the first two episodes. If you canโt handle the โcoming of ageโ exploration and welcoming of their adult hood then by all means, stick to the sexist classics
