Its a great story; it shows how human minds reacts when it knows death is near. Denial, anger, and frustration are commonly felt by the Deckers and those special to them. Death is a given, and in this fantasy, "Deckers," or those who have received a call informing them of their unfortunate passing, try to live out entire lives in mere hours. The irony is, with the knowledge of their own death, these Deckers partake in actvites they normally would not due to embarssment or other motives; living out their lives, but only on the day they won't be given that luxury. The saddest part of the story is when the two main Deckers reach their apex, coming to terms with their mistakes in life, and regrests in not acting faster when they had the chance, die shortly after. Its funny how near death or knowledge of brings us together and completes us more than, well, being alive.
