I don't write reviews on films because I never feel so impacted by a movie but the Whale was simply beautiful in its own disgusting way and it is worth watching every second of this film. Brendan Fraser is an amazing actor and really nailed this role and all the other female actresses including Sadie Sink really sold it. It is upsetting to watch but regardless it hit so close for me and so many people I just really dislike all the christians and homophobes reviewing this film as a personal attack towards them. Darren Aronofsky is a phenomenal director and I've loved his films and film style including Requiem for a Dream to Black Swan. Amazingly done, Brendon deserved this Oscar
