Tom Hanks always does a great job in my opinion, and so did his supporting cast on this one. However I only give the film 3 stars because I felt like all the computer animation made it seem like I was watching the actors in a video game on PlayStation. I felt like almost the entire film was shot in a set with fake backgrounds and it just didn’t do it for me . The action was great but the film just didn’t seem authentic due to the cinematography. I know you can’t exactly go shoot a Submarine under water with certain budgets , but so many other shots could of looked more real. Still worth it to go watch it. I checked it out on Apple TV they are streaming it . Perhaps Spielberg’s blockbuster with Hanks Saving Private Ryan ruined it for me now as that film was the most realistic amazing war film I have ever seen depicted , and even my grandfather who fought the Germans concurred in that one !
