A great suspenseful movie, acting is wonderful and convincing. Maika Monroe does wonderfully in this role, and her anxiety and fear is palpable.
Story is likely (and unfortunately) relatable for many people, and is greatly written and ends on what i felt was the perfect note. I was worried where the ending was going to go and was prepared to be underwhelmed, but when it happened was extremely happy with it.
Ultimately, a movie about the difficulties for stalking victims/women to confide and find dependable help in these sorts of situations. Pace may be slow for some viewers though i felt it went at a reasonable pace to build tension.
Almost everyone Julia meets in the story dismisses her, or gaslights her into believing it's all in her head and that her paranoia is playing tricks on her. The unconcerned attitudes from everyone around her can either enhance the viewer's anxiety and frustration to match Julia's, or make the viewer also start to wonder if Julia herself is overreacting, which is exactly what makes this story all the more convincing. Dismissal of her observations and feelings becomes more of a threat to Julia than the person hunting her.
