My initial reaction was to be pleasantly surprised...and thought "is this a musical?" The story telling seem different and found myself frustrated because I wanted to understand all the characters more...as I felt I was only getting the surface of each one. Then I realized Something Like...is a series of related novels...and I read Something Like Summer and then watched the movie again and it ALL CLICKED! This movie is actually a teaser...and I got hooked on Jay Bell's Something Like series...I would read each novel...then rewatch the movie enjoying it more each time . because I had a fuller understand of Ben, Allison, Tim, and Jace . And Yes the books are better than the movie. But gotta say I loved this flick.
