A Hitchcock styled flick, witty and deeply disturbing on all levels. The samurai backyard massacre, the hatred and aggression it reveals is shocking. I for one do not enjoy being traumatized as a form of entertainment. The rhetoric about this being a masterpiece merely reflects how far we have sunk in social awareness and compassion.
