As a recent widow, who has met a quirky new friend in Grief Group, I can say the similarities to real life are undeniable. My new friend grieves for her losses, but they are not the same as mine. The dark humor, raw emotion and guilt are all there. The widow's strained relationship with her children is also very real. I have appreciated this series at a time when I have been searching to make sense of the new reality I live in.
