Good Afternoon Howie,
I enjoy your show and have concern today about the suggestion that reporting COVID-19 in the states across America may not concern all of us because of concern of how it is being "talked about" broadly. People can panic in the absence of truthful and cognitively understood information. The US society in large part have never had to sit under their desks during a bomb raid test (alerting us kids to the dangers of the world) or of any other physically threatening issues which can broadly impact all of us. (9/11 horrendous affecting specific locales), so it is NO surprise that the level of fear and panic 'out there' is what it is. Knowing what is 'out there'(Covid-19 on a map)will help a vast number of people to gauge their risk as they go about living life and visiting families that are often flung along many cities, states and sometimes countries, knowing a virus is currently in our midst along with lots of other threats to personal safety just in daily living. ( Any mother of a toddler understands this fact). If nothing else we should all be much healthier after adapting good and better habits of personal health. That will indeed be a good thing!
