Critics totally miss the point that if he hadn't woke her up, the ship and all in it would have been doomed as it took two people to solve the reactor problem, one on the inside and one on the out.In her mind she may have then come to the conclusion that maybe, although his motives for waking her were reprehensible, in the long run, by doing so, he saved her and all aboard the ship.This could be a strong enough reason for her to forgive him, not as one critic scathingly put it, because, " he proved himself worthy".
