Excellent movie with Tom Hanks, and his son Truman. It reminded me a bit of Eastwood in Gran Torino. The title almost had me pass on this, but I am glad I didn't. Hanks as Otto goes through a range of emotions, after the loss of his wife six months before. As he attempts to join his beloved, life and the love of others keeps pulling him in. Hanks never disappoints.

I loved it. James McAvoy never disappoints. A stellar performance from him. He kills this role! MacKenzie Davis was great in her role. I found this movie had my heart racing. The end was very intense. There are lessons within the movie as well. Thumbs up. 👍

This is a movie that I would watch again. It was very mysterious and had a horrific twist. I enjoyed it. I thought Naomi Ackie was excellent, and Channing Tatum was also great.

I missed the original Incredibles. But, Incredibles 2 was a fun movie, with lots of action. I enjoyed this animated movie.

I had mixed feelings about this movie, and it did not live up to the hype. There were scary parts, but the overall plot was a bit unsatisfying. I was a fan of "Get Out ," which was a very popular movie. I can only say "Us" was just OK. Maybe the flow was off, but there was something missing. The plot was not cohesive, it felt inadequate, and left some with questions. I DID like the acting, but would not be motivated to see it again. I do not agree with the excellent reviews/ratings for this film. I agree with one of the other Google viewers that mentioned two other films: As far as horror/psychological thrillers, "The Witch" was excellent, and "Suspiria" was very good. I also recommend "Goodnight Mommy," a 2014 Austrian film, and the movie "Hereditary," which I saw twice.

I have seen two of Yorgos Lanthimos' other films. His movies tend to be on the wild side. The Lobster was unique. The Favourite was entertaining, with outstanding acting by Olivia Colman, Emma Stone, and Rachel Weisz. The lust for power is the central theme, as the Queen is manipulated by both Stone and Weisz. And the Queen is needy for love and attention. All the tricks, and deceptions along the way, make for a movie filled with both drama and humor. I am intrigued by Director Lanthimos' style and diverse movie content, and look forward to more from him. The Favourite is a period piece, with lots of spunk, and feisty female characters! Worth it !

Both actors were excellent. Glenn Close did an outstanding job. It really takes us back to a time when women were not encouraged to pursue their own great careers. And when they stood behind their man, repressing their own talents and needs. I believe my mother was brought up that way. She squashed a crucial educational opportunity of mine, due to her fears and upbringing. And, also one of my aunts fit that stereotype even moreso. Stand by your man, no matter what. Luckily, the next generation rebelled. I don't want to include spoilers, but the ending was both sad and uplifting, at once.

I am a horror fan. And I realize that not all horror is jump scares, and slash and gore. And I am happy that there is variety. And what people call a slow burn, well sometimes, that build up works perfectly, as in this case. I would have rated Hereditary 10/10 or 5/5, whichever scale you prefer. I saw it while out of state, at the movies, and then rented it at a later date at home. The imagery was vivid. Toni Colette was awesome. Gabrielle Byrne, Alex Wolff, Milly Shapiro, all did an excellent job. Milly Shapiro's character was unique. I do not want to put in any spoilers, but there were some scenes that were indeed scary, shocking, and unforgettable. It is a movie that works as a psychological thriller like the Witch, or Goodnight Mommy. Loved this movie ! Also, I love classics like Rosemary's Baby, and the Shining, too. Have plenty of popcorn when you watch Hereditary ! I believe the intensity of this movie and the interesting characters, will make it an immersive experience, and memorable long after it has ended.
