I watched this movie just yesterday (18/11/2023). I had high expectations from this movie considering it became a blockbuster and Shahrukh Khan was the leading actor in the movie. But all my expectations started crumbling as I began watching this movie. By the time I completed 50% of the movie, all my interest had disappeared and I had no desire to complete the movie. I left it there.
Talking about the theme of the movie. The film portrays an individual's desires and actions to fight the injustice meted out to him and other common men.
There is needless and extreme appeal to emotion, which is typical to many South Indian movies. There are illogical sequences of fights in which the lead actor is single handedly fighting many people, making the audience feel very happy. Logic and reason take back seats and emotions are drummed up. Strong focus is put creating high tech fight scenes with logic defying stunts by many cast members.
Somewhere in all this, one just wonders, why many South Indian movies follow this typical pattern of creating high melodrama movies lacking logic, reason and substance.
