Not your typical film to watch. Tessa Thompson plays Beth who is a Crisis helpline worker she receives a variety of calls from positive to negative.
Most of the time she was sympathetic, compassionate, and professional but there was a point in the movie where I felt she was rather flat in her responses, perhaps revealing the fatigue a job like this would take in a night shift?
The conversation over the phone evoked thought about life, struggles, and people in our society who struggle which kept me invested in the movie.
At the end of the movie I found myself thinking about it for a while so, I would say it's a good film if you're open to something different.
