Terrible... Sorry, but it's true. Where is the angst? The subtleties? This was, unfortunately, something like a spoof moreso than something that could actually be construed as a serious attempt to modernize a classic. As a classic lit (and Jane Austen) enthusiast, I found this to be almost borederline blasphemous. Like watching a train wreck...so shockingly bad that you can't look away despite your confusion and horror. I was really looking forward to this adaptation and was left so utterly disappointed and unsatisfied.
