My brother and I started this show via recommendation from a friend of mine who lives on the opposite side of the country. I’d never heard of it before and neither had my brother. I was willing to give it a chance, but he thought it would be “a stupid kids show.” Four seasons later of nonstop binging and were both blown away by the show! We literally couldn’t look away, not even for a moment! I can honestly say that this is one of if not my favorite tv show, and it’s incredibly deserved. I knew a good bit about Journey to the West before watching, but my brother didn’t know anything about it. I’d say we still enjoyed the show just the same. It’s honestly criminal that I’d never heard of it before. From the animation to the characters, everything is just so amazing and lovingly crafted. You can definitely tell, especially the farther into the show you get when things start getting serious. If you don’t think you’ll like it, I say still give it a chance! It definitely wouldn’t hurt to take a look.
