As a huge planet of the apes fan, this movie upset me. First off because they skipped over generations and filled the movie with new characters. War, left us with.. humans losing their speech and also with nova and Cornelius. So, I was ready for this one to be if not a 1968 remake at least the last link until we’ve come to the 1968 timeline. I may like the director made his own movie with his own plot and just used planet of the apes title. It’s a good movie minus the fact that it’s linked to planet of the apes. I mean there are some things from the 1968 original that tie to this but, all in all the director did a lousy job with this one.
