I love true crime anything, but this series had me screaming at the TV about how poorly everything was investigated. They wanted the parents to be guilty no matter what. What happened with the semen stains on her shirt…? Does that not even matter? The had a match and the guy just get away free just because he was getting married soon? What about the break-in that had happened a couple months prior? Maybe in real life they took fingerprints and DNA from the house, but they were more worried about finding evidence to pin it to the parents instead of letting the evidence do that for them. No matter what, the parents were going to be found guilty because of how the police let the media roll with any story they wanted (or planted in their minds). This show was all over the place at times. Maybe that’s how it is in other countries, but honestly, if this trial happened in the US I don’t think they’d be found guilty beside the evidence just wasn’t there (or enough of it). And they definitely would have looked more into the semen stains on Asunta’s shirt. It’s like everyone forgot about that. And that whole situation with that guy and what he mentioned happened prior to her death with the July 4th incident. I honestly just don’t think their is enough evidence to prove the parents killed their daughter. Very sad story no matter which way you look at it.
