Dear Activision,
I understand the intent behind implementing voice chat bans, but I feel they detract from what makes the game enjoyable. Trash talking has always been a part of the gaming experience, adding a layer of excitement and competition. Now, it feels like we have to tiptoe around and walk on eggshells to avoid offending others. This creates an environment catering to overly sensitive players and encourages a weak mindset.
It seems like the game is going “woke,” prioritizing a sanitized and overly cautious atmosphere at the expense of genuine, spontaneous player interactions. This shift not only dampens the fun but also alienates long-time fans who appreciate the raw, unfiltered nature of the gaming community. This is a mature video game, not one designed for children.
A more balanced solution would be to automatically mute players by default, allowing others to unmute them at their own discretion, similar to how it was handled in older games. This way, players have control over their own experience without imposing permanent chat bans that diminish the competitive and spirited nature of the game.
By focusing on overly restrictive policies, you’re diluting the essence of what makes the game engaging and memorable. I urge you to reconsider the balance between maintaining a respectful environment and preserving the competitive, spirited nature of the game.
Sincerely,
Soonerkingz
