This movie is truly wonderful. It's story about the horrors of war and PTSD like a lot of the Japanese Godzilla movies. The story is amazing and the acting is extremely captivating and emotional. One of the best Godzilla movies of all time. SPOILER: I do wish they had the balls to kill him at the end though.

Changed my life for the better. I love this film

This needs to be said for people rating this one star. First off, this movie is a Thriller, I just need to preface this for people who hate this movie because it makes them anxious. This movie is not glorifying the abusive nature of Fletcher, nor is the ending. Whiplash shows you the price of perfection. A depressing reality where the hunger for approval from abusive people you hold highly can rip you apart. The ending is not happy, fletcher got exactly what he wanted. The moments between Fletcher and Andrew where he talks about motivation are manipulation tactics from Fletcher to get him to continue to push himself. This movie is a masterpeice.
