Strength and honor.....but nothing else. This is a wonderfully crafted action flick, that's pure entertainment. But hardly accurate. From maneating baboons to rhinos to sharks, it is one CGI set to another. It lacks the emotional heft of the original. The score, of course, still haunts, as it's the original. Finally, Denzel is deliciously evil. Worth watching, once. But wish it could be, more

It takes a lot to top "Fury Road" and Charlize. And Anya delivers. The angst is real. The silence doesn't matter as her eyes convey the message. It seems as if one has a window to her character's soul. Chris is absolutely hilarious as the villain, Dementus. His take on philosophy towards the end, is a masterclass in script writing. And of course the action choreography and cinematography, is in a different league. This is a Mad Max movie that does justice to the franchise, by transcending all that came before.

This movie is not for connoisseurs of action or entertainment. It's a record of the pogrom unleashed in America on its citizens, in the name of purging communists, by Senator McCarthy. Clearly Oppenheimer was a tortured man, having given birth to the deadliest weapon known to mankind. The world is a better place because of it, as both Nazis and Russians were closer. However, other characters were not as well fleshed out, as expected with an ensemble cast. Robert Downey Jr as Strauss, was a revelation. Technically, it was well fleshed out. Nuclear science is complex. Kudos. Set design was outstanding. One actually felt dry and parched, seeing the setup in Los Alamos. Now I know who Dr Lawrence Livermore, was.

Perhaps the greatest adaptation of a western novel, set in Japan. You are immersed deeply into Japanese culture, without annoying actors speaking English in Japanese accents. The performances are nuanced and delicate. The set design and cinematography felt authentic. You're transported back to medieval Japan, raw, unadulterated, with the cold damp foggy weather that's characteristic of Northern Pacific. And tension of Seppuku, or the gentle enactment of tea ceremony, or formal protocol of a warlord meeting, the execution is flawless. You are left wanting more. But like a typical Haiku, many things are best left unsaid. Read the novel, more than 30 years back. This ensured that it will remain etched in memory for next 30.

Perhaps, she would go down in history as one of the best female artists, ever, if not the best. This movie is an ode to her amazing versatility, talent, memory, charisma, empathy....one runs out of adjectives. This is pure 3.5 hours of concert. Nothing else. No backstage interviews. No distractions. Pure. One of the best concerts, ever recorded. As good as being there.

A masterclass in character development even if some went over the top. More than anything else, they were believable and human with flaws, insecurities galore. This will go down in history as one of the best drama series. Ending was sugary. But had to close the series, with an upbeat finale, as we wanted them to. Therein lies it's appeal. Goodbye folks. Take a bow.
