A sweeping story of the time but fictionalised to a large extent, whilst retaining some semblance of history.
Very well written and takes you on a journey wanting to know more. The battles leave you wondering if in fact any men remained but opens the door to read more of the times and the powerful families that controlled England through bloodlust and warmongering.
