I have been a massive fan of Ricky for two decades but this is just not good. It's less structured with less of a theme than his other stand-ups. It had a couple of good points and a couple of funny bits but the rest just seemed mean-spirited, which I know he's not. He avoids politics like the plague and that's his choice, but there is so much to target in the rich and powerful right now he could really have had a field day with it all. Instead, he has doubled-down on marginalised, vulnerable people. I love inappropriate humour but this really missed the mark in my opinion. It's a massive shame and I think he needs to really think about a new direction to take things. Most of the observations in this are old, stuff that came from the podcasts 18 years ago or that he has already used in stand-ups or his TV work. It's a massive shame.
