Honestly I read the books first and it was fascinating I really enjoyed it. Then I found there was a movie and I was really hyped to watch it. To be honest the movie is horrible where is Clarrise,Mr.D and Ares and many more people the changed the complete plot. Athena has blonde hair and so does Annabeth so why in the movie does Annabeth have dark brown hair and blue eyes. In the book Annabeth has blonde hair and gray eyes in the movie she didn’t. Also I was really looking forward to the part Clarisse has shoved Percy’s head down the toilet but she wasn’t there. Also Luke actually didn’t give Percy the bolt. It was Ares originally. And In the book we didn’t know that Percy was Poseidon’s son we found out later. In the movie we just already knew. Plus Percy originally didn’t have that much power on the first book. This movies is and absolutely buzz kill I regret watching it Also in the first book they were twelve and in the movie there sixteen?? It really doesn’t make sense. Also the never went to see the Oracle and I was really looking forward to the Poseidon sign showing above Percy’s head finding out he was Poseidon’s son. The just changed the whole thing I’m really disappointed I wish they actually read the book I’m happy there is no third movie I bet they would have changed it all. I suggest people that watched the movie first it’s way better to read the books there is more hilarious moments and Uncle Rick must be disappointed
