THIS SHOW IS ARGUABLY THE BEST SHOW I'VE EVER SEEN. Yes, you heard me right and I'm not even exaggerating. Now, there are complaints that it fell off since Season 6. Why don't people understand that every show has its ups and downs, and The Flash has its! Hopefully, this helps you to decide on whether to watch it or not. Whatever the decision, hope you make the right one...
Now let's rate every season:
Season 1:
Barry Allen gains superhuman speed after a particle accelerator explosion and becomes The Flash. He fights metahuman criminals in Central City while searching for answers about his mother's murder. The mysterious Reverse-Flash is revealed as his primary antagonist, and Barry learns to harness his powers and protect his city.
Season 2:
Barry faces the speedster Zoom from Earth-2, who poses a significant threat to Central City. The season explores the concept of doppelgangers and alternate timelines, introducing new versions of familiar characters. Barry and his team must stop Zoom's reign of terror and deal with the consequences of time travel.
Season 3:
After saving his mother from being murdered, Barry creates an alternate timeline called Flashpoint. He must face the consequences of altering the timeline and confronts the speedster villain Savitar, who poses a grave threat. The season explores themes of destiny, loss, and the power of choices.
Season 4:
Barry faces the highly intelligent metahuman Clifford DeVoe, also known as The Thinker. DeVoe's ability to predict people's actions makes him a formidable foe for Team Flash. The season focuses on intellect versus emotion and showcases new characters, such as Ralph Dibny while exploring the theme of family.
Season 5:
Barry and Iris's daughter from the future, Nora West-Allen, arrives, creating new threats and revealing secrets. The team must deal with the manipulative Cicada and confront the enigmatic Eobard Thawne, aka Reverse-Flash. The season delves into parental legacies, time travel consequences, and the Butterfly Effect.
Season 6:
Barry and his team deal with a new villain, Bloodwork, who has the power to manipulate blood. They also face the threat of the Mirror Master and explore the concept of a mirror dimension. The season delves into the concept of crisis and prepares for the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event.
Season 7:
The aftermath of "Crisis on Infinite Earths" is explored, with the creation of a new timeline known as the "Post-Crisis" world. Barry faces new adversaries, such as Eva McCulloch, aka Mirror Mistress, and deals with the challenges of restoring his powers. The season focuses on personal growth and redemption.
Season 8:
The season follows Barry facing his nemesis Despero, the Reverse-Flash, the fire Meta Deathstorm, and the Negative Speed Force. The season 8 finale saw Eobard Thawne become more powerful than ever, as the Negative Reverse-Flash. In turn, the positive Forces resurfaced to similarly supercharge Barry, as their own chosen avatar.
Season 9:
The season follows Barry facing his nemeses Red Death, Bloodwork, and Cobalt Blue. It has the beautiful returns of characters like Oliver in 9*10 and Caitlin in 9*13. Even though, this being the last season didn't live up to the hype. I'm still gonna miss it no matter what.
The series ends on Season 9. It was a very sad ending, I have mixed emotions currently as the last episode aired just yesterday. But don't be sad as it's ending, be happy that it happen. And as our favorite Wells HR said "This isn't goodbye, this is... till our next communion".
