[spoilers] look I understand why people are upset because Joel died so early in the game, but people seem to forget about the last of us background. TLOU universe is dark and unforgiving. I didn’t read the spoilers but I knew going into this game was that Joel was probably gonna die, he did too and it was a huge shocking moment I’ve ever had in a video game. I think about the pacing of how they could’ve had made it better but I really can’t think of another way. The thing with Abby is that she magically just found Joel in that spot but that wasn’t the case. In her mindset she knew that they’re was a patrol at that spot, she thought oh I can get information on Joel and boom get him. Also she knows Joel’s name because Marlene was saying his name to abbys dad. Then when horde was there, tommy and Joel were debating what to do next and tommy said his name. When Joel got shot and then you see Abby so furious, the thing that was in my head was what did Joel do to her. And later we finally see her side of her story and why she killed Joel and it’s because her father was the surgeon and Joel killed him. You best believe if somebody killed my parents in the zombie apocalypse I’m gonna go and get my revenge.so in abbys viewpoint she was right for her actions, and same with Ellie’s view. I mean at the end of day Joel decided his fate, when he saves Ellie selfishly instead of saving the world instead, but at the same time Joel made the right choice because eille is his daughter and he gets a 2nd chance to save her. It’s crazy because Abby and lev it makes me think of Joel and Ellie in the 1st game.all the characters in the game are not black and white, everybody is grey. You see all sides of their storyline,
