If you engage in infidelity in relationships or work in the pharmaceutical industry, you might find it challenging to appreciate this movie. Personally, I find it highly entertaining. One standout element is how 'Alice', the main character, showcases her intelligence through various survival tactics. Yet, she consistently finds herself outsmarted by an unidentified sniper at every turn. I couldn't help but wonder why the sniper didn't opt for a more direct approach to end it all, and why Alice didn't consider escaping through the bushes when she had the chance.
Instead, viewers are compelled to witness over an hour of this 'hunting game', with the only form of communication being between Alice and the Sniper through a walkie-talkie she discovered in the Mini Mart while evading the Sniper's pursuit in a well-lit grocery store on a dark night (as per the script). It feels unending, leaving you to contemplate why the other characters in the movie meet their demise so swiftly after the sniper's precise shots.
Another unsettling aspect for me was the sniper's commentary on national problems, giving the impression that he was deeply affected by them. All of this conversation occurred while Alice was in pain, desperately trying to find a way to evade the sniper's view (it was quite a lot of talking, to be honest). This happened twice after he shot her, and I found it difficult to believe. It led me to question; if there truly are individuals capable of such malevolent acts, who can rationalize their actions without any sense of remorse?, even till the end, (yes, till the end , because he died, after some crushing on the head)Overall, the movie provides a stark portrayal of how killers and psychopaths think, and yes that little girl at the end of the movie, can really run.
