So far it’s good. The problem I’m having with it is the fact that they have taken an icon, and yes I see an icon because the character Bruce Wayne is an icon in the movie. They’ve turned him into an introverted Megalomaniac instead of the law inspiring multi millionaire He’s meant to be. It is one thing to take him to the true detective nature of Batman truly should be, it is another To turn him into a skeeze who doesn’t care about his image and reputation in normal life. That is not Emo nor is it Gothic. I do not object Turning him into a normal person, but what they have done is turn his character, the character of Bruce Wayne into a nobody who doesn’t care about anything. The reason I have an issue with this is because it’s not so much that it doesn’t fall the comic books it’s that they changed his characterization way too much. In essence they’ve turned him into a completely different person from the Bruce Wayne that everyone knows and loves. I honestly don’t know what else to say I’ve only watched the first 15 minutes of it so far and that’s what I’ve gathered. I’m not saying it’s not a good movie or that it won’t be an excellent movie in its own way. I am saying that with those of us who are Batman original fans from the first movies, the movies that brought us humor and well-rounded idealisms and views of the society that was. It brings us to a screeching halt when we watch this new view on the comic books/movie genre. It’s like them trying to remake Buffy the Vampire Slayer or charmed, you can never get back the idealism/viewpoint that it had the vibe that spellbound its audience. Whether TV show or movie certain things should not be altered in such an extraordinarily drastic way. Thank you to anyone who reads this review, just keep in mind it is an opinion that is objective and not one that is based on personal wants or needs. As I am a fan of Robert Pattinson, I will always be objective when it comes to doing works of any kind movie, anime or otherwise. However keep in mind that when you watch some thing that’s been altered you’re expecting some thing that has more fortitude, has more life to it. And that view alone Could change things in a drastic way. Drastic meaning expectations not being met.
