I heard so many great things about this film, so I had very high expectations. However, I wasn't really impressed. I didn't hate the film, but a lot of it was long, slow, and unnecessary. I love the idea and the overall concept, but having to wait so long for something interesting to happen with hardly any suspense made it hard to appreciate the exciting scenes. There was not enough character development besides the main character Dani, so when other characters died it wasn't very shocking because we hardly even got to know the characters. I also felt like there should have been more drama between the characters because they hardly interacted and it seemed like they were just independently going along with whatever the cult was doing. It could've impacted the audience more if we got to see more characters questioning or debating more whether there's something very wrong. I was cool with the graphic scenes except for the sex ritual scene because it was so unnecessary and over the top and disgusting. at least have the other ladies wearing clothes. its like it was supposed to come off comical but with such a seriously messed up scene it just came off completely perverted and uncomfortable. The best parts were the cliff scene and the ending scene, and thats basically it. the rest was painfully slow
