Brinda Gupta

I was hooked from the first episode. I already liked both the lead actors. I was excited to see Zhao Lusi working as a badass female lead on par with her male counterpart. Yang Yang was practically made for these kind of silent but deadly black-bellied roles. Their chemistry was off the charts. Hei-Bai FengXi remained the same throughout the whole series. They moved one after the other. They flirted like nobody's business. I would have liked more schemes and politics than the war strategies but that's just my personal preference. Other characters played their roles nicely. I liked that nobody was a stupid character. It did feel a little incomplete. I think they could have added 5 more episodes and tied the loose ends. Overall, it's definitely a worth watch if you're into wuxia, martial arts, politics/scheming leads or romance.

It is a really good drama. I rarely find such good chinese dramas. It's very addicting from the start. At least the main leads. The second leads are so so. The story is exciting. I am not a very good judge of acting but I think they have done a good job. The music is good. The flow is natural. The romance is very utopian but it's entertaining. It's a must watch. I want more dramas with Evan Lin as male lead
